Discover The Park – Community Open Day

10am – 4pm

Have you ever wondered what happens at a crematorium, or wanted the opportunity to explore our facilities and meet the people who work here?
Join us for a friendly and informative open day where you can:

✅ Meet The Park team
✅ Tour our facilities
✅ Speak with local funeral directors
✅ View funeral vehicles and specialist hearses
✅ Meet local charities and community organisations
✅ Learn about memorial and bereavement services available locally

No booking necessary. Everyone is welcome.

The Park Café, function rooms and bar will be open throughout the day, providing a chance to discover the full range of facilities available at The Park.

🌺Poppies at The Park🌺

A big thank you from us to those who have started knitting poppies and dropping them off in libraries for Poppies at The Park project! 🙏🙂

In partnership with Plymouth City Council Bereavement Service, we’re asking knitters of all levels – from complete beginners to seasoned pros – to pick up your needles and crochet or knit poppies for this year’s Remembrance display.

Last year, amazing volunteers donated over 1,000 poppies, creating a stunning and moving tribute at The Park in Plympton ahead of Remembrance Sunday. This year, lets make it bigger and better! 🌟

Come along to one of our weekly Craft and Chatter sessions and learn as you go in a friendly group.

✨🛸 It's September and our Findalot of the month is Cookalot! 🛸✨

🍲 Cookalot loves food. Reading is food for your brain! Read at least four books this month to collect your sticker.

🍝 Cookalot likes discovering new recipes and cooking for the other Findalots.

🚀 The FINDALOTS are aliens sent to earth to discover more about our world. After their long journey from planet DOALOT, their spaceship has crashed into the library and they’re looking for adventure.

🚀 We're asking children to guide the FINDALOTS on their journey of discovery through the library, take on challenges and help the FINDALOTS grow stronger and complete their mission before they return to planet DOALOT.

✅ Aimed at 4 to 11 year olds, all children who sign up will receive an activity journal.

🏆 Earn a Findalots trading card by completing this month’s challenge.

🎉 Finish the Summer Reading Challenge and be entered into a prize draw! 📚✨

There’s even more reason to complete this year’s Summer Reading Challenge at Plymouth Libraries!

Children who finish the challenge by 19 September will be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win:

🎹 A keyboard piano with headphones, a stand, LCD, microphone and book on learning to play (for children aged 8+)
🎵 A Toniebox wireless musical storybox and Tonie Disney Audio classics characters (for children aged 4-7)

Keep reading, collect your rewards, and make sure you finish the challenge before the deadline to be in with a chance of winning one of these fantastic prizes!
