Today we mark the 82nd anniversary of D-Day, the Allied landings in Normandy on 6 June 1944.

We remember the courage, sacrifice and determination of all those who took part in one of history’s most significant military operations. Their actions helped secure the freedoms we enjoy today and their legacy continues to inspire generations.

As we reflect on the events of D-Day, we honour the servicemen and women who served, those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and the veterans whose stories ensure their memory lives on.

We will remember them.

🧗‍♂️ Taking fundraising to new heights!

Brigadier Ged Salzano MBE, Commander Royal Navy Cadet Forces, is set to abseil down the iconic Spinnaker Tower in support of the Royal Marines Experience Museum on Saturday 13 June!

This incredible challenge will help raise funds for the future museum, preserving and sharing the proud history, heritage and stories of the Royal Marines for generations to come.

If you’re able to support this fantastic cause, donations can be made via the link in the comments.

Good luck Sir! 💪⚓

Congratulations to Recruit Troop 1/25 who have successfully completed their training just before Easter, having started between May and September last year.

Over the past months, they’ve taken on Exercise First Step, learned, developed and utilised the skills required of a Royal Marines Cadet.

Their Pass Out Parade was a proud moment, attended by family, friends, and invited guests. We were honoured to welcome Captain Sam Vanner RM, our Parent Establishment Liaison Officer, as VIP for the event.

Also attending was Royal Marine Veteran Mark Ormrod who stated “Keep up the good work, the world needs more disciplined young men and women like them”.

The cadets were formally inspected whilst the Band of the Royal Marines Volunteer Cadet Corps Plymouth delivered a fantastic drum display and led the Cadets off parade. 🥁👏

BZ to all now Cadets of Troop 1/25 – your hard work and commitment have paid off!

100 Cadets. 1 Historic Goal.

Cadets from across the Volunteer Cadet Corps have come together this weekend, at Woolwich Barracks, to prepare for the historic Ceremony of the Dues at the Tower of London.

From precision drill to full inspections and musical perfection, the standard on display was outstanding.

The training weekend formed a critical part for those who will represent the organisation at the Tower of London on Tuesday 21 April 2026, where the VCC will become the first youth organisation to conduct the centuries-old ceremony during its 125th anniversary year.

Next stop, Tower of London!

125 years behind us. The next generation ahead.
