Last week, we worked with Trading Standards to tackle underage v**e and alcohol sales in Plymouth.

We visited 20 retailers, and we're pleased to say that 90% refused the sale and followed the law. Only two failed, both for selling v**es to someone under 18, and we’re taking follow-up action.

This isn’t about catching businesses out - it’s about keeping young people safe and reducing harm linked to age-restricted products.

If you have concerns about underage sales, please report them to us via 101 or online.

Retailers can also access a free prevention toolkit, here: https://orlo.uk/proof-of-age_F3Z91

What is ASB? (Anti Social Behaviour)
Year 4 at Mount Wise Primary School had an input about ASB from the Devonport Neighbourhood Team.
We discussed what is ASB, and the examples they gave were;
Ding D**g Ditch aka Cherry Knocking, hurting another person, kicking a football against cars and houses, damaging windows, graffiti, noise, littering, being horrible to another person.
We spoke about how this could make a person feel, sad, lonely, confused and angry. We then shared ideas of what actions we could do to be kind, respectful, polite and to help another, in the community, and the school community.
Say please and thank you, litter pick, take a hurt person to the medical room, help carry books, shopping. All excellent ideas!
Today PS Kris and PCSO Nicky attended the whole school’s assembly, the teacher chose 5 children to receive a police award
for recognition of their exceptional community spirit, kindness and responsibility. 😄👮‍♀️👮🚓

🌟Well done to all year 6 classes across Devon and Cornwall for completing their SATS - Have a lovely weekend.🌟
