Tomorrow is the day! We are so excited to welcome all of our students back into the Academy and have Team MAP back together again. 💙🧡

We hope everyone has had a fantastic break and is ready to make a brilliant start to the new school year.

You did brilliantly on Friday, and tomorrow is all about taking that next step. Don’t worry we know you're still finding your feet – there is lots of support in place and we are here for you.

You’ll spend the day with your tutor and tutor group, get your new timetable, and learn more about how everything works ready for the week ahead.

We are so excited to have all of our students back in the Academy tomorrow and can’t wait to see everyone back together as Team MAP! 🎉

And that’s not all… our SEND Coffee Morning is back! ☕👋

Our SEND Coffee Morning will be running as usual and all parents and carers are very welcome to drop in for a cuppa, a chat and the opportunity to speak with members of our SEND team.

This may be particularly useful for our new Year 7 parents and carers following their child’s first day on Friday – whether you have a question, want a little reassurance, or would simply like to come in and say hello, our team will be there.

No appointment needed – just drop in!

We’re really looking forward to welcoming all year groups back to school on Monday! We hope everyone has had a fantastic break and is ready for a positive and successful year ahead. 💙

We understand that sometimes absence is unavoidable but more than 6 days across the school year can have a significant impact on learning, progress and ultimately a young person’s outcomes. Please support your children by doing everything you can to ensure they don’t go over this threshold.

Being in school, on time, every day gives students the very best opportunity to learn, achieve and make the most of everything school has to offer. Please get in touch if we can do anything to support.

🎉 Welcome to Team MAP, Year 7! 🎉

It’s almost time! We’re so excited to welcome our brand-new Year 7 students and families to MAP for the start of an amazing new chapter. 💙

We know that starting secondary school can feel like a BIG step, so Mr David, our Head of Year 7, has put together some top tips to help you feel ready, confident and excited for Friday! 👋

From making friends, making a great first impression, to remembering that you don’t need to worry about the little things — we’ve got your back every step of the way.

🏫 Our hub system makes it impossible to get lost
🎒 We’ll provide all the equipment you need
🍽️ Lunch is free on Friday
🤝 There’ll be lots of opportunities to make new friends
📚 And our brilliant facilities, brand-new library, school pets and fantastic teachers are waiting for you!

The countdown is on! ⏰🎒

We’re looking forward to welcoming our students back to Marine Academy Plymouth for the start of the Autumn Term.

📚 Friday 4th September
⭐ Year 7 – Please arrive for 8:30am.
⭐ Year 12 – Enrolment Day. Please check your emails for your individual appointment time.

📚 Monday 7th September
⭐ All year groups return to school for 8:30am.

⏰ A reminder that our school day is slightly longer this year as we have added 5 minutes to lunch and 5 minutes to tutor time. The school day will now finish at 3:00pm.

We hope everyone has had a fantastic summer break and is feeling refreshed and ready for the year ahead. We can’t wait to see you! 💙🧡

If there are any problems or concerns ahead of your child’s return, please contact their Head of Year so we can support you before the start of term.
