PLYMOUTH REVOLUTUIONARY COMMUNISTS OPEN MEETING
MONK ROOM
PLYMOUTH ATHENAEUM
DEREY'S CROSS PL1 2SW
The communists are back in Britain's Ocean City! If you know what won it that title, of all our coastal cities that is, do come along to our open meeting. Also come if you want a revolution! We do too, and so do 47% of young people in Britain, as polled recently by Channel 4. That's potentially millions of young people who have come to the conclusion that the whole system is rotten and needs to go.
These people will not be content with the half-assed reformism coming out of the mainstream liberal and 'left' parties, who do the same thing as the right with a veneer of 'progressivism' or moderation.
While shameless opportunists of the ruling class like Trump and Farage offer quick-fix solutions to the global crisis of capitalism and distract workers from the class struggle with vile identity politics, the truth is that any party that is not anti-capitalist will be forced to carry out the same cuts and attacks on our public services and hard-won workers' rights once they get into power. This is the logic of a capitalist system that is at an impasse, saddled with debt and chronic low growth.
They will be required to protect the interests of their national capitalists abroad and fund ever-multiplying foreign proxy wars. We will continue to watch climate chaos rage on our phones as our supposed political representatives make hollow promises to adapt us towards a sustainable future, knowing full well the real power is with the private sector who hold the government hostage and care only for the maximum possible rate of profit at any time.
The Revolutionary Communist Party has no illusions in any party or movement that doesn't stand fundamentally opposed to the current order of society, in which some individuals amass wealth and power at the cost of others on the basis of private ownership of the means of production. We stand for class solidarity across all borders and an international workers' revolution beginning here in Britain, to smash the capitalist state and reorganise society on the basis of democratically planned production for need, not profit.
