AIS Sir Roger Bannister Dinner Night.

With Easter approaching, AIS hosted a memorable dinner night that brought everyone together in great spirits.

The night also marked the departure of WO2 Edwards RE, and we extend our thanks for 6+ years support and best wishes for the future.

Congratulations to CSgt Limbu RGR and CSgt Yabia Rangers on their well-deserved promotions to CSM — a fantastic achievement.

The evening turned out to be a brilliant event filled with good humour, camaraderie, and celebration.

A big thank you to the Mess Staff and committee for organising such a successful and enjoyable night.

Witnessing Excellence at the Senior Cadet Instructor Course”

SSgt Si Gowing RLC attended and supported the Senior Cadet Instructor Course at Yardley Chase Training Area, led by Team Command , HQ Central CTT West.

He reflected:

“A few weeks ago I supported the Senior Cadet Instructor Course — and was genuinely blown away.

Classroom lessons, fieldcraft training, and the cadets themselves all raised the bar.

Massive respect to the Cadet Training Team (FTRS & CFAV’s). Strong leadership + impactful coaching = real results.

If the opportunity came along to observe the CFAV Instructor Course this would help to strengthen AIS feedback across both spectrums.

Well done everyone, and thank you for the inspired opportunity.” 💪👏

👏38 personnel (Army,Navy and Civil Servants) have successfully completed the Army Trainer Mentor (ATM) course.

This intensive programme equips individuals to observe, support, and develop trainers in both training establishments and the workplace.

As part of the course, participants achieved a Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment, and unlocked the pathway to the ILM Level 5 qualification in Coaching and Mentoring.

Their contribution will strengthen the Army’s training capability and help foster a culture of continuous development across the force.

Well done everyone, congratulations 🙌

🎖 Operation Market Garden Battlefield Study 🇬🇧

Huge congratulations and thank you to CSgt Magreehan for delivering an exceptional battlefield study for the Parachute Regiment community, marking the 81st anniversary of the Battle for Arnhem and the wider Operation Market Garden.

His expert knowledge and leadership guided the group through:

🪖 Wider Operation Market Garden overview

• 30 Corps advance up the Club Route

• 101st Airborne Division AO and actions

• 82nd Airborne Division AO and actions

• Final focus on the British 1st Airborne Division and Polish Parachute Brigade

🥾 Battlefield walk from the DZs to Arnhem

Tracking the movements and actions of the 1st and 2nd Parachute Battalions and key supporting units across the British AO.

A powerful experience, honouring the legacy, understanding the lessons, and keeping airborne history alive. 🌹

London Poppy Day — a powerful day for remembrance and community 🇬🇧🌺

Proud to see SSgts Gowing & Brennan and LCpl (Drum Major) Thorne representing across the capital today — volunteering alongside veterans, serving personnel and supporters to raise vital funds for the Royal British Legion.

The event was officially opened by Rob Rinder 🙌 setting the tone for an inspiring day, followed by an unforgettable moment as Jason Fox 💪 abseiled with the Royal Marines at Waterloo Station 🧗‍♂️🔥

Military bands, uniformed volunteers and thousands of supporters filled London — united in honouring service and sacrifice.

Thank you to everyone who donated, supported and collected today.

Every poppy tells a story.
