Footpath Closure - Byworth
We have been advised that the footpath from Sheepdowns across to Byworth, will be closed from the 8th June for up to 21 days. This is to repair the eroded pathway by the bridge.

We have been advised that there will be a 24hr road closure on East Street, Petworth on the 9th to 11th June. This is to allow Southern Water to undertake works in the carriageway from the junction with Church Street to New Street. Diversions will be posted via the lorry route, if you are approaching the town from New Street. For more information refer to https://one.network/

Petworth Town Council is looking for new councillors!
We have a great team of councillors who are truly dedicated to making Petworth the best place it can be.
The role of a councillor is varied and involves a minimum of two meetings a month depending of the committee that you are part of.
If you would like to find out more about the role, please give me a call at the Town Council office.

The Annual Town meeting is a great opportunity to come and find out what the Town Council is working on. If you have an interest in parking, highways, Pump Track, Petworth Park Sports, these topics will be covered, with an opportunity for questions. Maybe you have an interest in being a councillor yourself!
Free entry and light refreshments and drink are provided.

A great weekend is planned at the Spring Festival at Petworth House. If you plan to visit and arrive by car, please can we urge you to park in the National Trust car park or in the main car parks in the town centre - Pound Street car park or the Sylvia Beaufoy car park, to avoid congestion.

The road is closed to allow Southern Water to complete maintenance works.
