‼️ Recognising and Responding to Child Neglect training available: 29th June 2026 - 09:30 - 11:30.

This course will explore what is child neglect, what are the risks and what to do if you have concerns.

In this session we will:

- Explore the potential impact of neglect on children and young people.

- Explore the possible indicators that a child may be neglected.

- Introduce tools and resources that will help practitioners work with cases of neglect.

- Determine what to do if you have concerns about a child or young person who is being neglected.

We have upcoming training on Private Fostering available, aimed at safeguarding professionals working in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. This is particularly relevant to staff working in Children's Social Care, Schools, Housing and Health.

The training will:

Explore the definition of private fostering and its legal framework.
Consider the needs of children who are privately fostered.
Learn about the respective responsibilities of parents, private foster carers and local authorities.
Explore assessment practice for private fostering.
Consider dilemmas and challenges.
Explore the support needs of private foster carers and review requirements.
Explore practice advice around Ukrainian children not living with a parent or legal guardian.
