Oundle Town Council This is an information giving site for the people of Oundle and surrounding villages. Oundle Town Council has 11 Councillors representing the town.

They meet monthly as a Full Council and also meet as Committees and Working Parties to progress initiatives, resolve issues and to make recommendation's to the Council as a whole on the best way forward. Councillors are all volunteers and are elected for a four year term, the same as the other tiers of local government. Oundle Town Council is non-political and is dedicated to serving only the best

interests of the town. Each year at the May meeting, a Mayor and Deputy Mayor are elected. Heads of our Committees, Working Parties and the Representatives of Other Bodies are also duly elected at this meeting. Recruitment of our new Town Clerk

Our current Town Clerk is leaving after many years of supporting and helping to shape Oundle Town Council. This has created an exciting opportunity for an energetic Town Clerk to manage and lead our development.

The Town Clerk is the Council's chief officer and reports to the Council as a corporate body. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the management and delivery of the council's services and ensuring good governance. It is a stimulating, rewarding and varied job, with involvement across all areas of council activity. The role is multifaceted and brings with it an opportunity to lead us towards greater success within our market town.

KEY DETAILS

- Job Title – Town Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer
- Location – Council Offices, Fletton House, Glapthorn Road, Oundle, Northants, PE8 4JA
- Hours – Full Time (37hrs) with some evening and occasional weekend requirements
- Salary – £43,693 - £56,105 per annum, (LC3 SCP 33-45 currently )
- Pension – Local Government Pension Scheme

🚨 Important traffic update – Blackpot Lane, Oundle 🚗

Please be aware that Blackpot Lane is now one-way in its entirety.

✅ You can only enter Blackpot Lane from Glapthorn Road, Milton Road and New Street.

When leaving Oundle School buildings, you can only drive down Blackpot Lane towards North Street.

If you use Blackpot Lane, please take extra care, follow the new signage and make sure you enter and exit the road in the correct direction.
