⭐️ LOCAL GOVERNMENT REORGANISATION ⭐️

I try not to comment on national politics. And I have kept my nose out of local government reorganisation. But the U-turn today impacts us here in and . 🤔

Years of gaslighting - but Government plans are now up the spout. It’s been such a distraction from what actually matters. Delivering for local people 🙏

Angela Rayner has now said we are now electing councillors next year on existing boundaries. What a waste of time and money this whole thing has been 💙

Community spirit is alive and well 😊

Delighted to support councillors and community today in as this great part of celebrated its 80th birthday 🎁

Thanks also to NXT GEN FC Inspired Martial Arts Peterborough Women’s Aid for supporting the event today 💙

⭐️ CAMBRIDGESHIRE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION ⭐️

Great meeting with the Cambridgeshire Football Association at Histon F.C. ⚽️

Really impressed with the progress they have made with over 21,000 players - male, female, disabled, veterans, walking teams - plans for new grass and 3D pitches and facilities 🥅

Football is a great vehicle for social good. The sport is in a good place in our Region and I am fully behind them 💙

⭐️ ST JOHN’S INNOVATION CENTRE ⭐️

Visited a number of businesses and entrepreneurs at the innovation centre yesterday. These are growing businesses that can scale up, create more jobs and grow our economy 📈

The St John's Innovation Centre in was the first innovation centre of its kind in Europe - been going since 1987 😊

As Mayor, they have my full support and my Authority is already helping these businesses with support, advice and investment 💪
