My inspiration!!
This is my father. He is the reason I do what I do everyday.
Unfortunately a few years ago, dad was diagnosed with a terminal blood cancer. He has been through radiotherapy, chemo and now takes weekly injections and has numerous blood tests. He has a few complications but he has the determination to fight, to take everyday as it comes, no matter how good or bad he feels and always does his best.
He still works a full time job despite everything he has been through. He truly is the greatest man alive.
Because of all of this and the treatment he is receiving, I have seen the brilliant work Cancer Research UK are doing to discover cures for those who are suffering from cancer.
I have had the honour to work with Cancer Research UK (CRUK) for the last 2 and a half years, completing their Fire Risk Assessments in their stores, warehouses and distribution centres throughout the UK, meeting the incredible staff that are working tirelessly, to raise as much money for the charity as they can.
This has been an fantastic experience and one I would love to continue doing to make a difference and then who knows, there may be a cure one day for my dad.
Cancer Research UK (CRUK) keep up the good work and well done to everyone who puts in all the effort to make a difference.
