Outreach Independent Domestic Violence Advocate – Women and Girls (maternity cover)
This role involves providing a proactive, trauma-informed IDVA service to adult female survivors of domestic abuse, using a survivor-led and risk-focused approach. The Outreach IDVA will support women in securing and maintaining safe accommodation, empowering them to build on their strengths, achieve their goals, and access a wide range of services and community support. The role requires flexible working across settings such as healthcare, community venues, MARAC, and courts, while acting as a key contact for coordinated professional support. This is a fixed-term maternity cover starting in July 2026 for approximately nine months.
Independent Domestic Violence Advocate – Women and Girls
This role involves delivering a proactive, high-quality, trauma-informed IDVA service to female survivors of domestic abuse using a survivor-led, risk-focused approach. The postholder will respond to referrals, assess risk and impact, and provide short- to medium-term advocacy and case management, including developing and reviewing safety and support plans. Working within a multi-agency framework such as MARAC and safeguarding processes, they will ensure coordinated risk management while offering practical, emotional and legal advocacy support, including guidance on protective orders. All support will be holistic, empowering survivors through respectful, informed, and safety-focused practice that prioritises dignity and long-term wellbeing.
