We’re excited to be taking part in to raise money for our amazing FRoGS 🎉 🐸

Have a look through your old bits and bobs this weekend and fill as many bags as you can! (Black bin liners are fine if you’ve filled your Bag2School bag up!)

Please fill your bag with good quality second-hand clothes and paired shoes (laces tied together) – for both adults and children.

🚫 Please do not include: soft toys, school or work uniform, towels, bedding, or curtains.

🗓 Bring your bag to school on Monday 18th May (not before please!)
⏰ Ready for a 9am collection
📍 Leave bags by the bike shed

🦔 Little Learners celebrated National Hedgehog day. Unfortunately all the hedgehogs were sleeping so they decided to make some with twigs and clay. 🦔

On Tuesday our Big Explorers prepared their own lunch, last week we made salads to take home and decided on a menu for lunch together. The children showed some great knife skills, set the lunch table up and dished up their own portions. They were so proud of the food they had made all by themselves.

Dear Parents and Carers,

We’re really excited to launch our upcoming Hamper Raffle Fundraiser in support of FROGS (Friends & Relatives of Gulval School) 🐸💚

Each class will be creating a colour-themed hamper 🌈, and we’d love your support by donating an item in your child’s class colour.

Class Colours:
💗 Little Learners – Pink
❤️ Ruby – Red
💛 Citrine – Yellow
🧡 Topaz – Orange
💙 Sapphire – Blue

Donations can be something new or something from home – anything is appreciated! Ideas include:

All hampers will be photographed and displayed in Reception and outside classrooms 📸 so you can see what’s up for grabs!

Our Big Explorers have had a great few days, they cooked up a lovely stew for Red Riding Hood's granny in the mud kitchen and went on a hunt for the Big Bad Wolf!

Last week it was time to get the special rubbish collecting gloves on to do our bit to look after our planet for Earth day. Gulval School is very clean so we didn't find much litter to collect.

We can't believe how everyone is gaining confidence each time we visit the tangleframe, testing their own abilities and skills, the sense of achievement when they get across a new bit of tricky apparatus independently is amazing to share with them 😀 👏

Help needed please 🙏
A local theatre company needs as much denim as they can find for a stage set. If anyone has any size denim clothes of various blue shades that they are happy to donate to be re-purposed please could you drop up to our Nursery next time you are passing.

📚The Big Explorers stopped off at the new school library after an energetic music session in the hall. Such a calm space to take some time to relax with a good book. 📚
