The team were paged today at 13.40 to reports of munitions reported on the beach at boat cove Perranuthnoe.
Once on scene we made contact with the first informant who directed us to the items in question.
Pictures were taken and forwarded to EOD, who deemed it necessary to attend.
We requested the attendance of an extra team so that a 100m cordon could be put in place, whilst we waited for EOD to attend. Once they arrived they investigated the items, and once happy they were safe, removed the items from scene
We then regrouped at the car park for debriefing
Thanks to St Ives Coastguard team for there support

Sennen Cove RNLI Volunteers launch to people cut off by the tide in their fifth service launch in six days.

A call was received from HM Coastguard Falmouth at 7.20pm on Friday 14 July following reports of three youngsters cut off by the tide at Cape Cornwall

The Lands End Coastguard Search & Rescue Team, Penzance Coastguard Rescue Team and HM Coastguard Helicopter 'Rescue 924' were also tasked was also tasked to the incident.

The D class inshore lifeboat (ILB) 'Amy Brown' quickly launched with a total of three RNLI volunteers with Nick Hichens at the helm. The Tamar class all-weather lifeboat 'City of London III' launched with seven RNLI volunteers under the command of Second Coxswain Dan Shannon and made their passage to the area.

Both lifeboats arrived on scene around 7.40pm

The Casualties were spotted on rocks on the north side of Cape Cornwall where extraction by the Coastguard teams or by lifeboat would prove difficult. The Coastguard search and rescue helicopter therefore winched the youngsters from their precarious position to the clifftop into the safe hands of both Coastguard search and rescue teams.

Both lifeboats stood by to provide safety cover.

Once the casualties were safely extracted, both lifeboats returned to station, were recovered around 8.35pm and made ready for their next service call.
