Please do share, print and post up this to help protect our Herring Gulls this nesting season.

We would like to see posters displayed in places visitors are most likely to see them like supermarkets, fast food and eating places as well as in the towns and at the beaches.

There are still fluffy nestlings on the roofs as well as feathered fledglings coming down to the ground to learn from their parents who will be nearby watching protecting and feeding them 5 - 10 times in a day.

With increases in Cornwalls population over the sumner, their is an increase risk of disturbance and accidental and intentional injuries to our wildlife. And then we are left to pick up the pieces.

As well as placing nestlings back to their nest, and helping in protecting fledglings by placing them somewhere safe for their parents to still attend them.

We are asking all Gull protectors to print this poster and take to get displayed in as many places as possible to educate residents and visitors and hopefully prevent deliberate attacks on our wildlife.

If you see any cruelty to wildlife please call the police at the time on 999; or to report it after the fact call 101 and ask for the Wildlife Crimes Officer. It can also be reported online. Try to get as much detail and evidence as is safely possible; including photos/video/ car reg etc

We need a campaign and funding to get these installed at Gull nesting sites ASAP

Please can people only tag the rescue on public Facebook posts please for initial contact.. rather than individual rehabbers being tagged please which keeps happening again and is causing unnecessary stress and work esp during busy times

The group is there so finders contact the main public pages inbox which has a group of admin to answer and track rescues as we are all volunteers with full time jobs etc etc

We also have messager group for admins and for keen regular volunteers communicating with each other.

We appreciate your help assisting...... So if an animal is injured the finder should get immediate help there and then on the scene and take it to a vet even out of hours if its suffering. Vets have rehabbers contacts.

So
Tag group only West Cornwall Wildlife Rescue and Rehab volunteers West Cornwall Wildlife Rescue and Rehab volunteers

All for experienced advice

Don't give causauties to random people on Facebook or take advice from them please this causes animal welfare issues.

There are other ways to help donating money and food for wildlife rehab and educating people to not injure wildlife thank you for your support.

HelpWildlife.co.uk was founded in 2005 to help members of the public who find wildlife casualties with advice and a directory of wildlife rescuers. We also provide advice on humane, holistic methods of wildlife management.
