We had a great time networking at the May Big Breakfast at the Lobster Shed at Harlyn on Wednesday. Our CEO Katherine was a guest speaker this month and gave an overview of the many aspects of CRCC’s work, along with some exciting announcements about our 80th year celebrations. We are very grateful to be this years Chamber of Commerce Charity of the year!

Cornwall Carers Service are hosting an event for all carers across Cornwall this Carers Week.

Whether you're a new carer or have been caring for years, the event is designed to provide you with support, information, and the opportunity to connect with other carers in a welcoming environment.

This is an opportunity to meet others in similar situations, take time for yourself, and find out more about the range of support available. The event will take place at Ladock Community Hall on Friday 12 June from 10am to 12:30pm, and all carers are welcome to attend.

This year it's our 80th Year Anniversary and over the summer and into the Autumn we'll be celebrating with some special events! We'll be announcing more details in the coming weeks. Watch this space!

Last week we had our all staff day at Scorrier House. It was an opportunity for staff from all our projects to come together to share what they had been working on in recent months, meet our trustees and collectively focus on future work and our upcoming 80th Anniversary Celebrations.

It was also the first meeting since we began our new Swindon Carers Together project and we enjoyed welcoming staff down from the Swindon office for the day.

After the meeting we had chance to show the Swindon team some coastal scenery, heading down to Portreath for some team building, including a pasty lunch and some beach games!

This week it's Village Halls Week 2026 and this year's theme is health and wellbeing.

We visited the Liskerrett Community Centre in Liskeard to find out about all the activities the hall provides to help people with their health and wellbeing. It's turns out they do a lot!
