APPEAL | We are appealing for your to locate a 27-year-old woman who has been reported missing from the Sennen area.

Xiran Wang was staying at The Land’s End Hotel, and she was last seen on CCTV leaving the hotel at around 5.30pm on 10 October.

She was wearing a long green evening style dress and had her belongings with her.

Some personal belongings including her phone and passport were located in a plastic bag on the coastal path on 14 October and have been handed into police. However, we believe she had another bag with her.

Searches and enquiries are ongoing and at the moment we haven’t been able to confirm where she went after leaving the hotel and we’re appealing for any information which may help us.

Anyone who has seen Xiran or knows of her whereabouts is asked to contact police on 999 quoting log 156 of 16/10/25.

We will be looking to issue a CCTV image when we have one, as well as any further description information.

Please call police to report any information, do not use the comment section on this post.

Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome in Morrab Gardens! We're grateful to those people who do the right thing when they walk their dogs through the gardens. But sadly not everyone is so considerate. When dogs are let off the lead their owners may not be able to keep them under control so are unaware of the damage the dogs may do - and the mess 💩 they may leave in the shrubberies!

[And yes, this image is generated by AI and does not show a dog in Morrab Gardens - we don't wish to embarrass (or name and shame) any of our regular four-legged visitors!]

As we approach autumn, please be mindful of responsible use of fireworks and how an inconsiderate use of fireworks may affect others.

Fireworks are enjoyable for a lot of people, but they can be distressing to humans and animals.

It’s an offence to let off fireworks between the hours of 11pm and 7am. The exceptions to this are Chinese New Year, Bonfire Night, Diwali and New Year’s Eve.

If you’re having an ongoing problem with people setting off fireworks, please report anti-social behaviour to us.

Find out more about the law around using fireworks 👉 https://orlo.uk/FQgoo
