The countdown is officially on for the Penn 7, Fun Run & Ruby Dash! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

We are heading to Penn Common this Saturday, 6th June, and the energy is building.
Word on the street is the weather app is teasing some "liquid sunshine"—but let’s be honest, a little drizzle just means built-in air conditioning and a faster race! No overheating, plenty of atmosphere, and excellent muddy photo-ops. 🌧️✨

Whether you're smashing the original 7-mile road race, taking on the 5k Fun Run, or splashing through the fancy-dress Ruby Dash with the family, it's going to be an incredible community day.

At the Planning Committee meeting on 2 June, Councillors voted unanimously to support a new ePetition urging Buckinghamshire Council to restore public access to planning comments.

Residents of Penn Parish are invited to attend the Annual Meeting of Penn Parish Council on Thursday, 21 May 2026 at 7.00pm in Holy Trinity Church Hall, Penn, HP10 8NU.

This will be immediately followed by the May, Full Council Meeting.

Both meetings are open to the public, and community participation is warmly encouraged.

Advance notice - Works on Hammersley Lane, 1-12 June, Road Closure

The Parish Council has been advised by Rayners that Ingenious Power Engineering Ltd will be carrying out highway works on Hammersley Lane (HP10 8HB). The works involve the installation of a new electrical service.

Dates of the works:
Monday 1 June 2026 – Friday 12 June 2026

Hammersley Lane will be closed to public access during this period, although driveway and pedestrian access will remain available at all times. A diversion route has been approved.

For further details, residents can contact Ingenious Power Engineering Ltd via email at [email protected] or by calling 0118 975 8713 during office hours. A 24‑hour emergency number will also be displayed on site.

Picnic in the Park | Saturday 20 June | King George V Playing Field

Join us on Saturday 20 June for a fantastic day of live music, entertainment, food, and family fun at our Picnic in the Park community music event.

The event runs from 12.30pm until 8pm and promises something for all ages for families, friends, and local residents.

Enjoy live performances throughout the afternoon and evening (1:00pm–8:00pm) from:

* The Amersham Rock Choir
* Tinlin
* The Junkyard Dogs
* !daft!

There will also be plenty to enjoy across the event, including:

* Beer from Mad Squirrel
* A variety of food stalls
* A funfair for younger children
* Exciting BMX displays
* A climbing wall

This is a family-friendly community event and everyone is welcome. We look forward to seeing you there!

Wonderful music in a beautiful setting - thank you Amersham Town Council

With our first band concert of the season less than two weeks away, it feels like the perfect time to share our summer concert schedule.

We’re looking forward to welcoming Amersham Concert Brass, who will start things off on Sunday 17 May.

Concerts will take place every two weeks throughout the summer in the Old Amersham Remembrance Gardens (from 2:30pm).

A perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
