🎉 A Fantastic Start to the New School Year! 🎉

What an amazing first week back at Penkridge Middle School!

Our students have returned with enthusiasm, positivity and a real determination to make the most of every opportunity. From the moment they arrived, they have demonstrated exactly what it means to follow The Penkridge Middle Way; showing effort, encouragement and excellence in everything they do. 💥 🚀 💯

Whether in lessons, around school or supporting one another, our pupils have embodied the values that make Penkridge Middle such a special community. The way our students behave, learn and conduct themselves continues to make us incredibly proud. 😊

A special mention must go to our newly appointed Student Leadership Team, who have been absolutely tremendous this week. They have welcomed new starters with kindness and confidence, provided support throughout the school day and have been outstanding role models for our younger pupils. Their willingness to step up and serve our school community is a wonderful example of The Penkridge Middle Way in action. 🌟

Thank you to our staff, students and families for helping us begin the year so positively. We are excited for the term ahead and look forward to building on this fantastic start. 👏

• Children must be in the building by 8:45am
• Please plan ahead to avoid last-minute rushes.

As Theo prepares to leave us and begin an exciting new chapter at high school, we are delighted to be able to recognise an incredible achievement before he goes.

Theo has proudly represented the England Deaf Football Team, an outstanding accomplishment that reflects his dedication, talent, hard work, and determination. We are incredibly proud of all that he has achieved and the fantastic role model he has been.

Theo, you should be very proud of yourself. We have loved watching your success and cannot wait to see what you achieve in the future.

⭐ End of term Summer 2026 ⭐ What a fantastic year it’s been. Today we say a huge thank you to our extended Penkridge Middle School community — families, friends, staff, and everyone who has supported our pupils on their journey. ⭐ To our brilliant Year 8s: you’ve grown, achieved, laughed, and made us proud every single day. We wish you all the success and happiness as you move on to your next chapter. 🌱 To the whole school: have a wonderful summer. We have had some very creative entries to the PMS logo art competition, it was really difficult for us to choose an overall winner.

After asking staff to help Mrs Wheat decide it was agreed that the overall winner was Connie in Year 7, runner ups were Jacoby in Year 5 and Rupert in Year 5. The winner and 2 runner ups work will be on permanent display and prizes will be given to them by Friday. There will also be a display in September for all of the designs as they were all fantastic!
