🔬✨ Penkridge Middle School Science Fair 2026 ✨🔬

What an amazing day at our Annual Science Fair! We are so proud of all of our students for the creativity, hard work, and enthusiasm they have shown in their projects. From thoughtful investigations to imaginative ideas, it has been fantastic to see their curiosity about the world come alive.

A huge thank you to our parents and families for your continued support—encouraging, guiding, and helping students bring their ideas to life. We know how much goes on behind the scenes, and we truly appreciate it.

We would also like to say a very special thank you to LEGO for generously donating our main prize. The students were absolutely thrilled, and your support helped make the event even more memorable!

After weeks of quick time trials, nail biting year group race offs and a thrilling finale against the top 8 Mario Karters at PMS, we have our top 3!

All three pupils left school with smiles on their faces and a selection of Mario Kart prizes and the inaugural Mario Kart trophy!

In the final race, it was James who came out on top. Beating Jacob, Elliot and Jessica in a closely battled selection of races.

Well done to James and all PMS pupils who competed this year. Let’s do it next year and see who can take the top spot! Could it be James again?? Or is there a new champion ready to emerge?? 🟥🔲🟥🔲🟥

We’re excited to announce that our School Book Fair is in school this week! 🎉
From thrilling adventures to laugh-out-loud stories and fascinating facts, there’s something for every young reader to discover. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire a love of reading and let children choose books they truly enjoy.

📅 Date: 3rd - 5th June
📍 Location: Penkridge Middle School
⏰ Time: During pupils English lessons

💡 Pupils will come home with their wish lists and every purchase helps support our school and brings more books into our classrooms.

Having a sort out at home? Any outgrown uniform would be gratefully received — please hand in at reception. 🏫 ❤️

🫶 Thank you for everyone who continues to contribute to our whole school pre-loved uniform stock. It continues to be a hugely popular and much loved resource.

🤝 Your generosity makes a huge difference to so many and is a wonderful way to give back and support the school community.

So, if you’re having a spring clean and ever looking to get rid of any out grown uniform items please keep us in mind and consider donating them to our school office to give them a new lease of life. All items are always gratefully received and put straight back into good use. ❤️

🎮🏆 Champions Week Showdown! 🏆🎮

An incredible competition was had during Champions Week! Our four Mario Kart racers from each year group went head-to-head in an epic “Champion of Champions” final today.
The racing was fast, the competition was fierce, and the excitement was off the scale—but one student in Year 5 rose above them all to claim the ultimate title! 🥇

In an amazing twist, our champion didn’t stop there… he went on to take on the staff champion Mr Mereidth and the ultimate final boss Mr Grocutt—and beat them too! 👏🔥

A huge well done to all our competitors for showing skill, determination, and fantastic sportsmanship throughout the event!

🏃‍♂️🏅 District Athletics Finals Success! 🏅🏃‍♀️
What a fantastic afternoon at the district finals last Wednesday – even if the weather was horrendous and changeable 🌧️🌬️☀️! Our students showed incredible resilience, determination and team spirit throughout 💪👏
We are so proud of everyone who took part. The final results are in and we are happy to announce that 8 (one third of our team) of our students achieved top two finishes in their events 🥇🥈 and secured their place at the County Finals on 13th June 🏆🎉
An amazing effort all round – including those students who represented us the first time - well done to our athletes for representing the school so brilliantly! 👏 🟥🔲🟥🔲🟥
