This weekend saw two cadets join 3WW collecting and then enjoying the Wales vs Barbarians at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. Despite the bitter cold, Cpl Felicity Lewis and Cdt Gabby Lloyd worked hard as part of the 3 Welsh Wing team collecting for Prostate Cancer and Sparks - two very worthy causes while meeting the public. We were treated to a cracking game, despite OC 2420's belief that the Barbars were going to win (they looked good in the second half).....although Cdt Lloyd's commentary was more entertaining..

RAF Cosford bids farewell to the iconic Tornado aircraft, which has served the RAF for nearly 40 yrs. The station rolled out their Tornados onto the flight line this morning in readiness for the three plane farewell flypast from RAF Marham later today. The Gulf War veteran "Pinky" can be seen along with an F3 ADV as part of the line up.

Last night saw 1574 Sqn attend 2420 (Whitland) Sqn for a visit from Higher Officer Andrew James from the UK Border Force. Based at Pembroke Port (and an ex 1574 cadet :) ), he gave the cadets a fantastic insight into the work of UKBF and his career. Plenty of questions kept Andrew busy, and advice on how we can help them keep our coastline safe. The night rounded off with a detailed look at a collection of (sealed) seized drugs. A great evening showing sector working and cadets working together. Thanks to Andrew for his time..
