He was a man of many talents, but his greatest power was his imagination 🎈

From revolutionising the steam engine to bringing the aeronautics race to the UK, James Sadler never left a job half-finished, and we hope to follow in his footsteps. As more than a decade-long effort to bring a tethered hot air balloon to Oxford’s skyline continues, we are closer than ever to reaching our goal!

Please like, follow and share to support us on our journey! 🎈

Welcome! Thank you for coming!

Follow along as we launch our mission to bring Oxford its first tethered Hot Air Balloon 🎈- and with it, celebrate the incredible life of the city’s ‘forgotten hero’, Mr. James Sadler. As the first Englishman to fly, he made history when he flew his historic balloon over Oxford over 230 years ago.

Join us as we work to give you that very same view of this beautiful city, all while remembering the pioneer that time (but not us!) forgot. ✨

Help us get our balloon ‘off the ground’ (😉) by liking and sharing with friends!
