The Oxford City Eye concept is a passenger carrying tethered balloon that would
rise to 150m over the city to give spectacular panoramic views to tourists, students and local people in a way not previously possible to experience. On a clear day passengers in similar city locations in the UK and Europe have reported breathtaking views as far as 20miles in the distance. The passenger gondola carries 25-30 people and can accommodate three wheelchairs in flight. The Oxford City Eye concept is a fresh and exhilarating experience already enjoyed by millions of people worldwide in other major cities. Historic cities such as Vienna, Paris and Berlin already provide tourists with a spectacular viewing platform to capture the architectural magnificence of these locations. We believe the Oxford City Eye would captivate the interest of thousands of tourists and corporate event organisers and further compliment the existing city tourist destinations providing a key referral link to other points of interest across the city.
