It's the small things that make a big difference.... This is a concern for many cyclists along Marston Ferry Rd - and is a dangerous pinch point at busy school travelling times. Not enough room for cargo bikes either! I have asked Cllr Mark Lygo and County Transport officers to increase the space between the bollards to 1.5 meters. The whole space could be improved for people in mobility scooters too - as the pavement becomes very uneven in places.

Thank you Marston people for putting your trust in me again. And more importantly choosing the Oxford Green Party for a brighter, more hopeful future. I am now working alogside a brilliant group of 13 Councillors. Watch this clip to see the Marston team celebrating at Oxford Town Hall.

Please remember to vote this Thursday 7 May. Your voice matters.
Thank you to everyone in Marston who has taken the time to talk to me and Green volunteers in recent months. I have listened to all your voices. I am proud to represent you. From 2 years of listening to you, and working with you, I know:
You care about Marston, your family, friends and local community
But things aren't perfect. We must work together to push for better, healthier and happier.
And we must never start to blame others - individuals or groups. It is the system that is broken and unfair - and too much decision making happens away from local communities.
On your behalf, I will continue to push for:

-better, cheaper, more reliable buses - that link Marston to Headington, Summertown and train station
-investment in Community hubs with activities for young people
-Croft Road Rec improvements for better equipment and lighting
- a health centre and better pharmacy
- safer cyling and walking throughout Marston
-food security
- EV charging points and shared car schemes
- public ownership of Thames Water
-better, decent, warm homes that are affordable
-an Oxford living wage

I hope to see you around soon!
Kate

I took a day off from work and campaigning today to watch my 15 year old child play at Oxford City Football Club. He was captain today! I feel so proud of these young people who we have watched play football every week, as they grow from boys to men. Love . Love all the community work that goes on at Abingdon United Football Club and Oxford City Football Club.
