🚒 PLEASE HELP US KEEP OUR CHARITY COLLECTION POINT CLEAR 🚒
We’re really grateful to everyone who donates clothing, shoes and other items to The Fire Fighters Charity. Every donation helps support serving and retired firefighters and their families. ❤️
However, this is a reminder that our collection bins are not a dumping ground!
As you can see from the photo, when the bins are full, bags and clothing are left piled around them. Unfortunately, this means our firefighters end up having to spend their time emptying bags, moving waste and tidying the area rather than doing the things they should be doing at the fire station.
⚠️ If the bins are full, please don’t leave your donations on the ground.⚠️
Please take them home and return another time, or use an alternative clothing donation point, like Oxfam just around the corner.
Leaving items outside the bins can also result in clothing getting wet, damaged or contaminated, meaning it may no longer be suitable for donation.
A full bin means STOP — please don’t add to it. 🛑
We really do appreciate your support for The Fire Fighters Charity, and with your help we can make sure donations go where they’re intended and our firefighters can spend their time where they’re needed most.
Thank you for helping us keep the area clean, safe and tidy. 👩‍🚒🚒

Yesterday, 🔵 Blue Watch welcomed our colleagues from South Central Ambulance Service 🚑 to Slade Park Fire Station for a fantastic day of collaborative training focused on Road Traffic Collisions (RTCs) 🚗
The day included some theory, followed by two challenging and realistic scenarios, giving us the opportunity to work together, share knowledge and develop our skills as one team.
A big thank you to our colleagues from South Central Ambulance Service for joining us, and also to Rewley Road Blue for getting involved in the training.
🤝 Collaborative training. Shared learning. One team. One goal.
Interested in being part of a team where training, teamwork and making a difference really matter?
🔥 Could you be our next on-call firefighter?
