When I joined UW in August last year it was truly amazing.

I know we were all worried about the impending 84% price increase and we were invariably being massively overcharged by the energy companies but I was in a position to help people get a great deal & ensure they were charged fairly.

It helped me massively as I was able to generate a reasonable income, for the first time in a very long time!

Even though the cost-of-living crisis has almost disappeared from the news it is still very much here & is not getting any better.

Virtually everybody is looking to save money & cutting back on their usual purchases.

So, here are my questions!

1️⃣❓Why has the number of people showing interest slowed down?
2️⃣❓Why are you reluctant to switch?
3️⃣❓Why are you still overpaying for your energy, broadband & mobile?
4️⃣❓Would you like to save over £500 per year?
5️⃣❓Would you like to have £150 discount for switching?
6️⃣❓Would you like to just pay for what you use?

UW are a British company, Growth (Plc) Company of the Year and has been trading since 1996.

Which? Broadband Rankings - we’re top three!

In their annual broadband provider survey, Which? surveys thousands of consumers across the UK, quizzing them on their experiences.

They look at a range of criteria including customer service, ease of contact and value for money.

And we’ve been voted the top three! It’s a massive step forward - we were 10th last year. We’ve jumped ahead of some big-name competitors including BT, Virgin Media, Vodafone and Sky.

Overall, we scored 63%, ranking highly for Customer Service, Value for Money, and our Connection Reliability.

As a result, our broadband service is featured in the April edition of Which?’s members’ magazines as well as in places like The Mail and The Mirror.

There were some big highlights:

✅ We’re an industry leader for broadband customer service, beating most other providers

It's been almost 8 months since I became a partner at UW.

During that time you've probably seen lots of posts from me trying to encourage people to switch their suppliers & save a chunk of money.

I've also spoken to lots of people I know, but it amazes me how many people are reluctant to switch even though they can save a small fortune.

Why is that?

You think it's a scam?
Because you've never heard of UW?
It takes too long, can't be bothered?
Something else?

I hear on a daily basis that people are being overcharged or that their DD has been increased substantially by the supplier. It's really not on!

Why do you put up with this?
Wouldn't you rather have the money in your account?

My youngest Luca Headford sent me his & Demi Donohue's March bill last night, take a look at it! It was MINUS £116 in total or MINUS £144 for their energy.

UW does not keep hold of their money like the energy companies do, it will be refunded on 31st March.

After weeks of speculation, the chancellor today confirmed the Energy Price Guarantee will continue to cap the unit rate at the same level, keeping average annual bills at £2,500 until July. So what does it mean for you?

“This is good news for consumers, who won't see the anticipated 20% hike on 1 April. Prices remain high though, and households will be left with a £66-a-month hole in their pockets when the Energy Bill Support scheme ends this month. It’s therefore important to continue to manage your energy usage as much as you can.”

Payments for all households will stop at the end of March, meaning despite today’s good news, you may still end up
paying more for your bills. Some of this may be offset by the
warmer weather if you’re not heating your home as much.
Bills could fall further in July.

Right now, the Energy Price Guarantee provides vital protection for customers, with the government paying the difference between that level (£2,500 avg) and Ofgem’s price cap (£3,549 avg*).

However, if wholesale prices continue to fall, the next price cap in July could be cheaper than the Energy Price Guarantee. That would mean default tariff customers would go back to paying prices set by Ofgem every quarter.

Higher rates for prepayment customers to be scrapped.

From July, customers paying for their gas and electricity via prepayment meters will pay the same price as pay-monthly customers, ending the penalty for lower-income households.
