Congratulations to everyone who took part in The Summer Reading Challenge 2026: Read to the Beat!

Well done to all the children who signed up, read books, collected rewards and joined in with library activities this summer. If you haven't quite finished yet, there's still time to complete your Challenge. Just visit your local library.

The Summer Reading Challenge website is available all year round, with activities, book recommendations and reading fun. Don't forget to try the Book Sorter, a great way for children to discover new books recommended by other children.

The Found Sound Story Workshop! Join us on Tuesday 25 August, 10.30am for a Tiny Ideas Festival Oxford workshop! For children aged 5-10 and their grown-ups to write and record a teeny tiny story with sound effects.

Free to attend, but booking is essential.
