We can't believe how many children have completed the Summer Book Quest already. Well done everyone for some great reading over the holidays! It's not too late to finish the Quest as it carries on until Saturday 12th September.

We have been getting lots of questions about the Summer Book Quest, hopefully this post will answer some of those queries:

When do I collect my stickers?
You receive 1 x sticker for completing one or more of the suggested activities in the "Activity Log" section of your Summer Book Quest booklet. You receive 1 x sticker when you have achieved your reading target.

When do I finish the Summer Book Quest?
You have finished the Quest once you have completed one or more of the suggested activities and achieved your summer reading goal. This is when you receive your certificate, key chain and small finishers gift.

A huge thank you to everyone who has/is taking part in our Summer Book Quest at Ottery Library! 📚☀️

We are absolutely delighted that, as part of 2026 – the National Year of Reading – we have welcomed a record number of children to this year’s challenge at Ottery Library. More than 280 children have signed up! 🎉 That is a phenomenal number and we’re so pleased to see so many children getting involved.

We hope everyone is enjoying the challenge, discovering new books and authors, making time for reading, and having a fantastic summer. We also hope you’re enjoying our programme of events and activities along the way! 📖☀️
