🐸 One of our Rangers had a surprise encounter on one of the trails recently when this little chap decided to hop onto their shoe! 💚

At this time of year, common frogs are beginning to prepare for winter hibernation. As temperatures cool, they spend their time hunting for energy-rich prey such as snails, spiders and beetles, helping them build up the fat reserves needed to see them through the colder months.

When winter arrives, frogs like this one will often seek shelter beneath logs, leaf litter, rocks and mossy patches, where they’ll stay safe and protected until spring. 🌿

And don’t worry, after posing for a quick photo, this little visitor was safely relocated off the trail to a quieter spot away from foot traffic. 🐸

🌿 Final Farmers' Market of the Summer Tomorrow! 🌿

🌧️ It may be wet and grey out there, but it certainly didn't stop these paddleboarders from making the most of their day on Lake Vyrnwy! 💚

A little rain doesn't have to stop the adventure. If you're happy to embrace the Welsh weather, why not bring your own paddleboard and launch from Bethania Adventure? Or, if you don't have your own, you can hire one from the team there and head straight out onto the water.

After all, who says you need sunshine to enjoy the lake?

The arrival of September brings subtle changes across the Lake Vyrnwy estate. Ripening blackberries line the paths and hedgerows, a sweet reminder that autumn is just around the corner.

A new month, a new season on the horizon, and plenty more beautiful moments to discover around the lake.

We're lucky to have such wonderful people in our local community. One of our residents captured this stunning sunset and kindly shared it with us. It feels like the perfect way to round off the summer holidays. Thank you for letting us enjoy it too! 🌅✨

We had a lovely, fresh, misty morning on Monday.

Yes we know we’re posting a lot of the lake and straining tower… it’s hard not to share when it looks this mystical.

🐾 Today is National Dog Day! 🐾

Us Rangers are celebrating some of our favourite four legged friends today... our very own dogs! ❤️🐶

As much as we'd love them to join us out on patrol every day and meet the visitors, they're usually busy enjoying their own adventures, walks, and well earned naps.
