A pair of keys on a single keyring have been found in/around the rear car park at The Olney Centre. If you think they might be yours and can describe what you're missing, either give the Town Council office a call on 01234 711679, or pay a visit in person.

❌HANGOUT HUB CANCELLED❌

Unfortunately, due to a lack of volunteers available to support the running of the session, this week's session has been cancelled.

We hope to be back on Friday 3rd July.

☕️🍪COME TO CONNECT 🍪🫖

Come to Connect is a free social group, held at The Olney Centre (usually Room 4), Tuesday mornings, 10am-12noon.

You'll receive a warm welcome, as well as being offered tea, coffee and biscuits. It's an informal group, where people who attend simply chat and catch up with each other and what's going on in the world!

Trevor, who has been coming to the group for a few months now, had this to say about attending Come to Connect:

'It was really hard to take those first steps into the room, but I'm so glad that I did. I was a bit reserved at first, but it was exactly what I needed. Just simply being able to have a chat with others has made such a difference to me. It's nice just to have someone you can share things with. They are really friendly, and we have some great chats about all sorts. I've regained a bit of the old me since coming here. I now really look forward to Tuesdays. I'd recommend this group to anyone!'

🚌NEW COMMUNITY MINIBUS ROUTE🚌

Today sees the Community Minibus embark upon a new route, initially being provided on the third Wednesday of the month, throughout summer, but this could increase with demand.

Starting and ending at The Olney Centre, it will take in the Market Place, Emberton Country Park cafe, as well as Sainsburys and Aldi.

🚲LOST BIKE? 🚲

Our groundstaff recently found an abandoned bike, left near to the cemetery. It's in good condition, so we're assuming that the owner would want to reclaim it!

If you believe this might be your bike, please contact the Olney Town Council office on 01234 711679, or pop in to the office at The Olney Centre, and please be prepared to describe the bike and any identifying features.

🔑 LOST KEYS 🔑

We have had a set of keys handed in to the Town Council office this week, with a number of keys and numbered fobs, with different numbers on, as well as another uniquely distinctive keyring.

The different keys and numbered fobs suggest these keys may belong to a landlord with a number of properties, or perhaps a carer who visits different residents in the local area, so these could be a very important set of keys to somebody.

If you believe them to be yours, please contact the Town Council on 01234 711679, or visit the Town Council office at The Olney Centre and be prepared to provide a description.

🥕 COMMUNITY FRIDGE OVERLOAD! 🍞

The Olney Community Fridge has received a literal mountain of surplus food today, with plenty of fruit, vegetables and bread available right now! There is also a large number of hot cross buns, so if you're still hankering after them following the Easter break, get yourself down to The Olney Centre, find the blue shed near the car park, and help yourself!

Please continue to help us avoid the food simply going to waste.
