Day one ✅

It has been great to welcome all of our children and families back into school today. The corridors have been full of smiles, the classrooms full of learning and the playground full of friendships being rekindled.

Thank you to our staff, pupils and families for helping make the first day of the new school year such a positive one.

The calm before the storm…

Over the summer and throughout the last few days, our staff team have been working incredibly hard to make sure Whitegate End is ready to welcome our children back tomorrow.

Classrooms have been organised, displays refreshed, resources prepared and learning environments carefully planned, all to give our children the very best start to 2026/27.

Our school may be quiet tonight, but we know that tomorrow they will once again be filled with learning, exploration, curiosity and excitement. We can’t wait to hear the buzz of ideas being shared, friendships being renewed and new memories being made.

We’re so proud of the dedication shown by every member of staff and are looking forward to welcoming our children and families back for what promises to be another fantastic year at Whitegate End.

Back to School Reminder 📚

We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back to Whitegate End on Thursday 3rd September.

To help ensure a smooth and safe start to the school day, please take a moment to check our drop-off map and confirm which entrance your child should use.

⏰ School starts promptly at 8:30am

🥣 Breakfast Club opens from 8:00am (pre-booking required)

🚗 Please park considerately and help us keep the area around school safe for all children and families.

🚶 If possible, consider walking, cycling or scooting to school to help reduce congestion.

Today is a big day for so many young people receiving their GCSE results - including lots of former Whitegate End-ers.

GCSE results day can bring excitement, relief, nerves and plenty of questions about what comes next. But a set of grades can never tell the full story of the person behind them - the effort they’ve put in, the challenges they’ve overcome or the progress they’ve made along the way.

So today, we simply want to say: well done.

Whether your next step is sixth form, college, an apprenticeship, training or something else entirely, we hope you go into it with confidence, ambition and belief in what you can achieve.

And to our former Whitegate End-ers: we might only have been one part of your journey, but we’re still incredibly proud to see where that journey takes you.

Once a Whitegate Ender, always a Whitegate Ender.

Breakfast Club is back! 🥣

Our FREE Breakfast Club will be running every school day from Thursday 3rd September, starting at 8:00am.

It’s open to all children from Reception to Year 6, giving them the chance to enjoy a healthy breakfast, spend time with friends and play some games before the school day begins.

We’d really encourage families to make use of it - it’s a great way for children to arrive settled, fed and ready for the day ahead.

📩 A booking link for the first two days back will be sent shortly. Please remember that, until the system updates on 1st September, children may still appear in last year’s year groups. We’ll then send a further booking link for the rest of Autumn 1.
