Today marks the beginning of Foster Care Fortnight and the theme this year is 'This Is Fostering' - and the truth is, fostering children and young people is not always easy.
It can be unpredictable, emotional, and challenging.

There are tough days, moments of doubt, and times when nothing feels simple.
But there are also incredible rewards.
Seeing a child sparkle for the very first time.
Watching their confidence grow.
Knowing that, when it mattered most, you were there.

Fostering is about stepping in during those critical moments — offering safety, stability, and care when a child urgently needs it. And while the role is demanding, our Foster Carers are never expected to do it alone.

This Foster Care Fortnight, we’re celebrating the honesty of fostering — the challenges and the life‑changing impact.

This is fostering. Real. Difficult. Rewarding.
