Hi everyone. I’m not sure we’ll be able to help with this one but we’ve been asked to pass the message:

HELP NEEDED PLEASE... If anyone finds a little tortoise, please let us know. Hes about the size of saucer. He is microchipped but, like an absolute idiot, I haven't manage to change Keith's details, as the vet who microchipped him. I have rang them, they have no details 🤔🤔🤔 so im praying that someone finds him. Keith has only been in the garden. He has been in a secure part of the garden... so we thought. Im so heartbroken, we have only just lost our Brian dog 😞 we are at linwold. Contact number 07850677621. I just hope he is found be ause, he has never been hibernate & never been out over night 😞

Important change coming

Thank you to those who have engaged with our announcement that we will be introducing a booking system for our HWRC sites across the county.

There have been a number of comments suggesting that this decision will increase fly-tipping, we want to set the record straight that there is no evidence that booking systems increase fly-tipping. A DEFRA review found no link between HWRC booking systems and increased fly-tipping.

We understand there has also been calls to increase opening hours or the introduction of more HWRCs, whilst many would love for this to be implemented, it would cost £1.5m every year and would not solve peak-time congestion because demand is concentrated at weekends.

Some people have suggested that the booking system should only be implemented on selected sites however, all sites experience busy periods, all sites have periodic restrictions on waste streams due to demand, and the system will help us to manage this and look at what improvements we can make on existing sites.

Our current network provides at least 95% of Lincolnshire residents within 12 miles. The review found improving how existing sites operate would deliver greater benefits.

No system is perfect. However, bookings provide much better information about site use and make repeated misuse much easier to identify and manage. We will gather data and information that will allow us to manage the demand with better intelligence on an ongoing basis.

We will continue to update residents with more information about the introduction of our booking system.

Some of you will know that we have an ongoing issue with Hagnaby Rd ditch. We have been in pretty good contact with the County Council both in person and via Fix My Street. This is the latest update, from this morning. Please note that they have inspected the ditch all the way until it turns the corner and are aware of all the issues. This update relates to the most recent report.

Hi everyone, this is an important reminder about our Annual Meetings on Thursday,

The first is at 6:30pm in the Vllage Hall -

The Annual Parish Meeting
Is a meeting required by law and is called by the Chairman of the Council.
It is an opportunity for members of the Parish to get together and discuss issues of interest and concern, with a view to developing an action plan and to learn what has been happening in the Parish during the previous year.

Following this is the Annual Meeting of the Parish Council at approximately 7pm -
1.
The first task is to elect a Chairman for the ensuing year 2026/2027 and receive the Declaration of Acceptance of Office from the Chairman, witnessed by the Proper Officer.
2.
To elect a Vice Chairman for the ensuing year 2026/27 and receive the Declaration of Acceptance of Office from the Vice Chairman, witnessed by the Proper Officer.
3.
To give the Chairperson the sealed envelope containing passwords relating to the operation of the administration of the Parish Council.

The agenda is quite long so I won't reproduce it here, but we'd love you to join us. An opportunity to catch up with Council business and ask questions about issues that concern or interest you.
