I'm back from campaigning in Oban with Believe in Scotland and I’ve written about it for our blog. 🤗
It was such a powerful day. We spoke to so many people who want Scotland to rejoin the EU, and who see independence as the clearest way to get there. Oban truly lives the EU value of United in Diversity, and I met people from all over the world who now proudly call Scotland home.
We made democracy accessible to everyone, in person and online. I even live-streamed the campaign on TikTok and reached 6.4k viewers!

This is great to see! Young people in Scotland today won’t have the same opportunities their predecessors had due to brexit and that’s really concerning. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🫶🇪🇺

Campaigners have urged the UK and EU to expedite a Youth Mobility Scheme after the French President called for both sides to restore opportunities to young people.

We may have been dragged out of the European Union against our will* but that doesn’t mean we have to lose our voice in European Insitutions. The Vice President of the European Parliament recognised that democratically, Scotland should still be represented by the union. 🌍🇪🇺 Young Scots at the Heart of Europe!

YEM Scotland Chairwoman Amelia Connolly joined thousands of young people from across the continent at EYE2025 in Strasbourg, representing the voices of young Europeans in Scotland.

From climate justice to Brexit, the conversations were bold and inspiring. Shoutout to our Youth Engagement Officer Madeleina Kay for her moving musical performances, and to the incredible Cara McLaughlin from the Scottish Advisory Forum who made sure the Vice President of the European Parliament heard loud and clear: Scotland never voted to leave.
