Thank you to everyone across Argyll & Bute who supported our campaign. I’m grateful to every volunteer, every voter, and everyone who took the time to speak with me about the issues that shape daily life in our communities.
Argyll & Bute needs fair funding, reliable services, accessible health & social care and a government that not only recognises the pressures facing rural and island communities, but takes action. I congratulate Jenni Minto on her re-election, and urge her to make that case strongly and consistently, to ensure that our area is not left behind.
Although this isn’t the result we hoped for, my commitment to this area doesn’t end here. I will continue working to see real improvements on the ground in transport, housing, local services, and the practical changes people need and deserve.
