Walk and talk support group for people affected by cancer

The weekly walks allow patients with cancer or recovering from their illness to join specialist nurses and fellow patients to share their progress, experiences or to just talk in a relaxed setting with others.

Anyone interested in joining our group is welcome to just attend or to contact Mick Gilbert by telephone/text on 07584676145.

It’s really relaxed with no set agenda, if you don’t feel able to do the walk you are welcome to join the group for coffee.

The walks start outside the Nuneaton Museum coffee shop in Riversley Park.

If your child is aged 2 or 3, help protect them from flu this winter. Young children can become seriously unwell with flu, and vaccination is one of the best ways to protect them and those around them.

From 1 October, children aged 2 and 3 can get their flu vaccination at participating community pharmacies. Look out for more information about how to get your child vaccinated.

It’s 💙🌟

We’re proud to highlight the incredible work of our Intensive Care Unit. This dedicated multi-disciplinary team works tirelessly to deliver exceptional care, from advanced monitoring and life-support treatments to rehabilitation and recovery planning—every team member plays an essential role in achieving the highest standards for our patients.

Early this year, our ICU set up their Critical Care Follow-Up Clinic. The clinic takes a holistic approach to supporting patients and their families on their recovery journey after staying in our ICU.

Around half of critical care patients are readmitted to hospital within 12 months of being discharged. By now offering this specialist follow-up care, the Trust will now be able to identify and address any issues early to prevent this. Read Gillian Allsop's story, who was one of the first patients to benefit from the service: https://www.geh.nhs.uk/news/revolutionary-new-critical-care-follow-service-welcomes-first-patients-george-eliot-hospital

Thank you again to our ICU, you make a difference every day!
