Even small actions can make a difference 💚

To mark the final days of Mental Health Awareness Week 2026, we would like to share a powerful story from the WorkWell programme about how the right support at the right time can help someone in taking their first important steps forward.

Andrew joined WorkWell after facing challenges due to living with severe anxiety, which made group settings and conversations about work feel overwhelming. With tailored one-to-one support he was able to build his confidence, develop coping strategies, and gradually re-engage with opportunities - all at his own pace. Through small, positive steps, like taking part in wellbeing activities, building digital confidence, and attending online workshops, Andrew has made incredible progress. He is now feeling more hopeful and has taken his first steps back into employment through a volunteering role at Warwickshire Wildlife.

His journey is a reminder that transformation does not happen overnight, but with the right support, small actions can lead to meaningful change.

Do you know about our Sustainable Construction Future Skills Round Table?

We’re bringing together Warwickshire-based SMEs in the sustainable construction sector for an interactive round table focused on the skills, roles and capabilities needed for the future of the industry.

As part of Warwickshire County Council’s Future Skills Programme, this session is an opportunity for employers to:
· Share insights on emerging skills trends and workforce challenges
· Help shape what future jobs in sustainable construction look like
· Influence how training and education provision is aligned locally

Your feedback will directly inform educators and training providers, helping us strengthen the local talent pipeline and ensure businesses have better access to the skills and employment support they need.

Your input will help shape real, practical action for Warwickshire’s future workforce.

If you’re an employer in sustainable construction, we’d love to have your voice at the table.

👉 Spaces are limited – get involved and help shape the future of the sector.

Happy International Day of Happiness! 🎉

Happiness is a fundamental human goal and that is why the United Nations calls for more recognition for the importance of people's happiness and wellbeing.

This year’s theme explores Social Media and Happiness and the relationship between the two, highlighting the potential challenges for our wellbeing as well as ways we can all use tech for good. Although there is not a “right” way to use social media, we can make choices about how we do it and how we treat each other online - and that can make a real difference and build a happier and kinder world online and offline.

💚 Research also shows us that meaningful, sustainable and supported work can also contribute to increased happiness; which is a key area of focus for WorkWell. If this is something you are struggling with, please get in touch:
