Upper Saxondale Community Hub Upper Saxondale is a village of about 350 homes set in a conservation area. You can offer unwanted items free of charge but no advertising items for sale.

We welcome posts sharing news, information and photos about our village, and details of local events and activities excluding those relating to local or national party politics. You can ask for trades recommendations but not separately promote or advertise on behalf of a business you have used. We support local business advertising provided they are based in our village or parish boundary. Please

be courteous and respectful, and no offensive language or inappropriate comments. Anyone not abiding by these rules will be asked to edit or delete their comments and may even be blocked. Facebook may also delete posts or comments without warning if someone complains directly to them about a post that breaks Facebook's rules; our page admins have no control over this. Since an update in October 2022 made by Facebook, they have removed the option for non-admins to create posts, but you can still comment on existing posts. So if you wish to post something on our village page, message us with the details and we'll post it for you. We will need to include your name in the post so others know who to contact as we're unable to manage responses for you.

A new season means new flowers!
Pink cyclamen at Shaftesbury Corner and Autumn Crocuses in the woodland, enjoying the sunshine today.
A new sign too: a reminder for drivers departing from the Village Hall.
Hopefully this will reduce " car turning around" damage to the Park land over winter.

The next Upper Saxondale Parish Council (USPC) meeting is being held on Monday 7th September 2026, starting at 7pm in the Upper Saxondale village hall. Residents are welcome to attend to observe the proceedings, and in the open session to make comments or raise matters of concern, so please come along and get involved.

☕️ The amazing Coffee Morning team have had a break over the summer and are ready to bake again. They start back this Friday, 4th September, in the village hall serving scrumptious homemade cakes, speciality coffees and teas. Open from 10:30am to 12:30pm but don’t leave it too late to arrive else the cakes may have all gone! 🍰

Takeaway available too. Cash and contactless payment accepted.
