Nottinghamshire Registration Service covers the whole of Nottinghamshire, from Sutton Bonington in the South to Misterton in the North, (excluding the City of Nottingham). Within Nottinghamshire we have a number of offices where births and deaths may be registered and notices of marriage and civil partnership may be given. These are; Arnold, Beeston, West Bridgford, Mansfield, Sutton-in-Ashfield,

Eastwood, Newark, Retford and Worksop. All offices operate an appointment system; to make an appointment please call 0300 500 80 80. Our offices in Arnold, West Bridgford, Mansfield, Newark and Worksop also have their own ceremony rooms which are used for all types of ceremonies. 🩷 How long have you been a Celebrant Registrar?
" Since 2022. I thoroughly enjoy working with such a professional team, supporting couples and doing everything I can to make their wedding day magical.” ✨

🧡 What do you love about composing and conducting Bespoke ceremonies?
" I can create so much more of a personalised ceremony for a couple and ensure that they have a truly individual celebration, tailored to their specific personalities and their unique love story, to make their wedding truly memorable.” 😍

💛 What’s your favourite wedding reading?
“’The Marriage Survival Kit’. It usually involves 2 wedding guests. One guest holds a bag containing the special items referred to in the poem which are significant to starting life together as a married couple. The other guest holds an empty bag, which the items are transferred to after they have been shown to the couple, as the poem is recited. It is a wonderful keepsake for the couple.” 🥹

💚 What’s your favourite wedding ritual?
“The sand ceremony, where couples pour different coloured sands into a glass container together. It visually signifies the blending of 2 individuals on their wedding day.” ⌛

🩵 What was the last film you cried at?
“Disney’s ‘Onward’. It’s about finding magic in the present, appreciating the people beside you and valuing your own unique strengths. It reminds me of my sons and the unique bond they have with each other.” 💞

💙 What couldn’t you live without?
“I couldn’t live without my children or my 3 dogs. They are my reason for living. My love for my children is totally unconditional, and my dogs love me unconditionally. I value them most in my life.” 🐾

❤ Thurgarton Village Hall ❤ is a picturesque Approved Premise in the village of Thurgarton.

Licensed for civil marriage and partnership, Thurgarton Village Hall can accommodate up to 100 guests in the Main Hall or 6 guests in the Meeting Room.

The venue is a blank canvas for you to decorate in whichever theme takes your fancy. The ‘traditional’ hall has recently undergone a complete renovation, inside and out. Outdoors there are picnic tables, alongside colourful floral planters, providing a relaxing place to sit and admire the country views which surround the hall. Strings of outdoor lights also makes this a pleasant space to socialise on warm Spring and Summer evenings.

Thurgarton Village Hall offers an additional lounge area for relaxing, a modern fully equipped kitchen with cooking facilities, luxurious toilets incl. disabled and baby changing, parquet wood flooring – ideal for dancing, tables and chairs, outside space for hog roasts and Summer drinks, integrated access for wheelchairs and heavy equipment, a quiet country setting, car parking and Wi-Fi.

A typical Saturday wedding has exclusive use of the hall from Friday morning until Sunday afternoon. This allows for deliveries and collection of any hired equipment, setting up, clearing and cleaning, as well as usage during your actual event.

Janet said, “Amanda and I had the most amazing time conducting the marriage of George & Nick at The Nottinghamshire. They had an incredibly beautiful pink and orange themed ceremony room, with stunning colourful flowers and silver glitter balls adorning the room. It was a hot and sunny day, and all guests had either a pink or orange fans to match the wedding theme.” 🥰

"Getting to know the couple and crafting a ceremony that is unique to them for them to relax, enjoy and stay with them for ever. I also like how the guests react to a very personalised ceremony when, very often, they are not expecting it!”

“The entrance, be it very informal or traditional, the couple together or one of them accompanied by significant people that they have chosen. The room is usually full of anticipation and love for the couple getting married.” 💞

💚 What’s your favourite entrance / aisle song?
“'Trumpet Voluntary'! I had it on my wedding day!” 🎺

🩵 Would you dress up for a fancy dress wedding?
“Yes, I’ve dressed up as a witch for a brilliant Halloween double wedding. Loved it!” 🎃

💙 What’s your idea of romance? (How could someone romance you?)
“Whisk me off to Paris for lunch!” 🥐

❤🐝 A British Garden Party Wedding…with Milin & Bradley! 🐝❤

The couple met on the 7th October 2017 in a night club in Leeds. They got engaged 4 years later in their favourite tapas restaurant in Nottingham 💞

Milin & Bradley have chosen to marry in Nottinghamshire at Arnot Hill House, Arnold Registration Office, on Saturday 30th May 2026, because Milin says, “Arnot Hill House is significant to us, it’s in the park where my parents used to bring me when I was little, and now we bring our own son there to play too.” 😍

For the ceremony, Milin & Bradley will be wearing classic British suits. After the ceremony, they will be celebrating at a garden party with 120 guests – family, friends and colleagues 🥳

Each of Milin & Bradley’s guests will receive a personalised wedding favour with their monogram – all British Garden Party themed (Just Bee Honey wildflower seeds and Peppermint and Eucalyptus Melted Treasures wax melts) 😎

Milin & Bradley’s words of wisdom? “Planning a wedding is stressful and time-consuming. Get yourself an organised, reliable planner and add your own personal flair - no two weddings are the same, so celebrate your individuality on your big day.
