🌟 Year 7 Boys’ Football – CVL Championships Update! 🌟
Our Year 7 team have had an incredible journey over the past two weeks! After a challenging set of qualifiers back in November, the boys returned with determination and delivered three outstanding winning performances in last week’s championship fixtures.
On Monday, they headed into a much‑anticipated final against Park Vale — another unbeaten side — in a match that would decide who took home the gold.
Bulwell stormed into a 2–0 lead in the first half and continued to battle hard. Park Vale pulled one back early in the second half before scoring two quick goals late in the game to edge ahead. But our boys didn’t give up — a coolly taken penalty brought the score to 3–3 with just two minutes left, setting up what looked like a dramatic finish.
In heartbreaking fashion, Bulwell conceded in the final seconds, ending an incredibly tight contest 4–3, finishing as runners‑up for this year’s title.
⭐ Special shout‑out to Riley, who scored a spectacular overhead kick from a corner in the earlier rounds — a real highlight and worthy of Player of the Evening!
