Some before and after shots from the Diss Litterpicking Group efforts at Diss Library. There’s a great deal of pride in making a public space look a little brighter and tidier for people.

There’s also a question mark that looms over the state of Diss library and its exterior condition and frankly the interior; conditions the staff have to work in very very hot weather or very very cold weather and we all know we’re not prepared for what’s coming.

Funny how Norwich gets new library facilities and upgrades and the rural locations get zip.

If it wasn’t for initiatives like the Diss litter picking group or the community dedication I’m not sure the County Council would have a leg to stand on. We’re the ones keeping things from falling apart.

Love this initiative from Norfolk libraries. Pop into Diss library and get involved. Projects like this need support within our community for the development of kids and supporting the library.

I’ll be at the Co-Lab in Diss tomorrow from 10-1pm for my weekly surgery. Come along and chat with me about anything on your mind. Always happy to solve any problems within the remit of a County Councillor.

The Co-Lab is opposite Fredrick’s in Cobb’s Yard, Diss.

Is this what we want? Is this the path we want to go down? Reform do not care about decency or people.

The Reform UK administration at a unitary has amended its constitution to allow "offensive" comments after a cabinet member received an estimated £11,000 worth of complaints over social media posts.

The threat is real! Please do not use any form of open fire no matter how big or small. We’re in a climate crisis. Habitat and human life can be lost. It’s up to us.

Photos have been released showing the extent of a wildfire which ripped through fields near North Walsham.

Such an incredible afternoon at the launch of the Co-Lab in Diss! The plan is realised and the people came! So many wonderful people help bring this to life. Gary Alexander’s project is finally here! Years in the making.

So much to process but the cool news is I’ll be doing my drop in surgeries from there!

This week I’ll be hosting my drop in surgery from 10-1pm on Friday. You can come and ask me questions and bring any issues you have within the County Council remit. I’ll do my best to actively help you with any county council issues you may have.

Nearly a year’s hard work has paid off for a community group as they gear up to welcome open a collaborative space in Diss this weekend.

This is really terrible news. More pedantry actions from a Reform led council whose only intention is to behave like the Tory’s mark ll. Expect more and more of these spiteful actions.

Usually I would get £11K to spend on small but really helpful projects in Diss and Roydon. Small projects that make a big difference. Reform’s ’money saving’ ambitions do nothing but hurt the people of this community.

Had such a great meeting/river walk with Katie from the Rivers Trust. We all need to work together to make the river Waveney as clean and habitable for wildlife as possible. Ridding it of human waste is step one but also making people aware that it’s there really helps.

Wildlife on our doorsteps!!

We went out this morning and did a few bits of cleaning. Some of the road name signage couldn’t take much cleaning because the lettering was falling apart. I’ve reached out to highways to see if we can get new lettering.

The ‘S’ bend by Hall Rd is particularly dangerous and I’m hoping we can reduce the speed limit there but the criteria it has to meet means it’ll be a struggle. But we cleared the growth around it so at least the signage can be seen now.

Also: It’s coming home.
