SPEAK-LESS WORKSHOP SERIES LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE! 🎭

This drama workshop springs from the idea that silence is the space where our thoughts and feelings are born, speaking through body language, gestures, and breathing.

We will challenge the fear of silence on stage experimenting with how to convey a story without words; we will populate the scene with meaningful movements and breathing.

We'll delve into fundamental elements such as movement, balance, focus, and reflex, refining our stage presence. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the importance of controlled breathing for conveying authentic emotions and characters effectively. Through structured exercises and improvisation techniques, we will cultivate our creative thinking skills. We'll also explore the transformative potential of masks, the comedic nuances of clowning, and the Greek chorus’ magic of a multitude becoming one.

Open to everyone over 18 willing to play, learn and develop. See poster below for more information!

Twelfth Night is Shakespearean comedy at its funniest and cruellest, making it well-suited to a 21st Century setting!

Twins, shipwrecked and separated, find themselves in an unknown country. Being refugees, they fear their reception in this strange land so disguise their origins and identities whilst they seek safety. What neither expects is to fall in love with someone, be fallen in love with by someone else and to find themselves caught up in a chaos of mistaken identities and purposes, of madness and desire.

O Time, thou must untangle this, not I. It is too hard a knot for me to untie.

CAN YOU HEAR THAT CLICKING?! 😱🦇🎶

Limelight Theatre Company returns to present The Addams Family at The Maddermarket Theatre. The cast contains approximately 30 students led by Director, Anna Lawrence and Musical Director, Zelda Rolfe.

THE ADDAMS FAMILY, a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, features an original story and it’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family– a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before– keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.

After the huge success of Limelight Theatre Company’s production of Disney’s Frozen Jnr in Spring 2023, we are looking forward to welcoming you back for another fantastic show - why not dress up and join the fun!

Qween UK are fronted by the highly talented singer and musician Billy West who has over thirty years professional experience working as the eclectic legend that is Freddie Mercury.
