Thank you to everyone who joined us for this morning’s Business Breakfast – and what a fantastic session it was!

A huge thank you to our inspiring keynote speaker, Rachel Blackburn MBE, CEO of US2U Consulting US2U Consulting Ltd , for sharing her practical, no-nonsense insights on leadership, growth and building resilience in a fast-changing world.

We’re also grateful to our sponsor, Focal Point Digital and to the team at Barnham Broom Hotel, Spa, Gym & Golf Club for hosting us in such a great venue.

It was brilliant to see so many local businesses connecting and making the most of the opportunities on offer – including a few heading out to enjoy the golf experiences afterwards!

If you joined us, we’d love to hear your highlights 👇

And if you missed it, keep an eye out for our next Business Breakfast in September by signing up to our newsletter – we’d love to see you there. https://orlo.uk/0QLQN

New Government rules from 8 June 2026 mean some licensed premises can stay open later during key World Cup matches.

Who this applies to:
✅ Premises with a licence or club premises certificate
✅ Licensed to sell alcohol for consumption on-site
✅ Already permitted to sell alcohol until at least 11pm on matchdays

Extended hours (if England or Scotland reach knockout stages):
🕐 Until 1am (kick-off at or before 9pm)
🕑 Until 2am (kick-off between 9pm and 10pm)

Important to know:
❗ Not applicable to off-licences or takeaway-only alcohol sales
❗ Matches kicking off after 10pm are not covered
❗ Extensions apply to alcohol sales only (not entertainment)

You’ll need a TEN if your premises isn’t licensed until 11pm, or if the match falls outside the permitted timings (including some scenarios for the final). Make sure you check your licence conditions so you stay compliant.

This week, we’re proud to celebrate Volunteers’ Week and World Environment Day 🌍

To mark the occasion, our One Team came together for a litter pick at Racecourse Plantation, Thorpe St Andrew, helping to create a cleaner, greener local environment.

Volunteering plays a vital role in supporting our communities, bringing people together, strengthening local pride and making a real, visible difference. It’s fantastic to see colleagues giving their time to support the place where we live and work.

A big thank you to everyone who took part and to our Sustainability Champions for organising the event 👏
