Across Norfolk and Suffolk, health and care partners are working together to help people live healthier lives, improve access to services and create opportunities for our communities.

In his latest blog, Ed Garratt OBE, Chief Executive of NHS Norfolk and Suffolk ICB shares some of the positive progress being made across our system, including earlier cancer diagnosis and the launch of the East Coast Partnership, which aims to create 500 employment, training, volunteering and apprenticeship opportunities across our coastal communities.

Do you know the difference between a heart attack and a cardiac arrest?

❤️ Heart Attack
• A circulation problem.
• Blood flow to part of the heart is blocked.
• The person is usually conscious and breathing.
• Call 999 immediately.

⚡ Cardiac Arrest
• An electrical problem.
• The heart suddenly stops pumping blood around the body.
• The person becomes unconscious and stops breathing normally.
• Call 999, start CPR and use a defibrillator if available.

A heart attack can sometimes lead to a cardiac arrest.

Learning CPR could help save a life.

❤️ Who would you learn CPR for?
Your partner?
Your children?
Your parents?
Your best friend?

Our colleague Andy Wall survived a cardiac arrest thanks to the quick actions of people around him who knew CPR and used a defibrillator.

Now, Andy is sharing his story to encourage more people to learn this life-saving skill through the British Heart Foundation's Every Minute Matters campaign.

The free RevivR training takes just 15 minutes to complete online, but those 15 minutes could help you save the life of someone you love.
