We are excited to announce upcoming events for the first half of the second semester!

All are welcome to come along and we hope to see your there! Our event at NUA can be attended by UEA students, and our events at UEA will have some NUA attendees.

UEA Marxist society will be out in force on the 1st of February to join striking UCU staff at their pickets!

We have a WhatsApp group chat with daily updates on the strikes, and directions on where students can head to stand in solidarity!

We will also be travelling to the teacher's rally by city hall after the staff pickets are over around 11:30.

We’re proud to announce that on the first of December we’ll be holding a panel with striking UCU staff members, local campus Unite staff members, and a member of our society!

Both students and staff are invited!

The event will mean our talk at NUA on marxism or art will be sadly cancelled.

UEA Marxist society joining a pub quiz hosted by Socialist Appeal Norwich this Saturday in the UEA SU bar! Part of our top prize bundle is a framed RMT strike leaflet signed by Arthur Scargill himself.

Anyone is welcome to come, and attendance will cost either £5 per person or £20 per team - so make sure to bring some comrades along 😉.

Tired of the flag-waving, don't want a monarchy, or just making the most of the jubilee day bank holiday? Come along to Marxsoc's Republican BBQ for some free grub and an even better chat! We'll be roasting the monarchy 4-8pm, 02/06/2022, at lakeside BBQ 4. Tickets are not required, and all we ask people to bring is a dislike for landed elites!

A selection of meats will be provided, as well as (good!) vegan options, with the option of bread. For those with particular allergies, let us know in advance, or bring a spare BBQ and food suitable for you. Drinks will not be provided.
