🌿 Day Four: Llandecwyn ➜ Penrhyndeudraeth — Slate, Steam and Estuary Views🥾

Our Rotary walkers have reached Day Four of the 42‑mile Coastal Challenge, and today’s route delivered one of the most atmospheric stretches yet.

We followed the estuary towards Penrhyndeudraeth, passing old slate‑industry landmarks — including the striking stone warehouse once used by the Ffestiniog Railway for slate storage and loading. A reminder of the area’s industrial past standing quietly beside the water.

🌄 Day Three: Porthmadog ➜ Llandecwyn — Steam, Steps and Stunning Views!🥾

Our Rotary walkers are back on the trail for Day Three of the 42‑mile Coastal Challenge.

Today’s leg began in style — with a beautiful walk alongside the historic Ffestiniog Light Railway, steam drifting through the trees as we followed the line out of Porthmadog and into the hills. From there, the route winds toward Llandecwyn, offering big skies, estuary views, and plenty of Welsh charm to keep spirits high.

All 10 walkers are still going strong, fuelled by determination, teamwork, and the incredible support we’ve received so far.

Out clocking up a few training miles (photo proof 📸) ahead of one of the highlights of the Rotary Social year. It’s not just about the walking – it’s the friendship, laughs and great company along the way.
