Did you know there are some fantastic walks around Weaverham and Acton Bridge? 🚶‍♀️🌿

There are four great walks featured on the Parish Council website, including:

🔹 The Blue Plaque Walk
🔹 Weaverham & Acton Bridge Petal Walks

These walks were produced by the Weaverham Trust and showcase the area's rich history, countryside and local heritage. The Blue Plaque Walk takes you on a 1.3-mile journey through historic Weaverham, highlighting many of the village's listed buildings and points of interest.

If you'd like to combine a walk with a well-earned refreshment stop, there are also pub walks available from the local pubs:

🍺 The Hanging Gate Circular Walks
🍺 The Leigh Arms Circular Walks

The Petal Walks were developed to create new circular walking routes around Weaverham, opening up access to woodland, farmland and the beautiful Weaver Valley landscape.

If you're looking for something to do at the weekend, why not take the family for a walk and support your local pubs at the same time?

You can find all the walks on the Parish Council website:

The Parish Council is pleased to welcome our new PCSO, Simon Donnelly.

I recently had a very constructive meeting with Simon, bringing him up to date on the issues affecting our village and discussing how we can work together to support our community.

Simon will be holding a series of Police Surgeries in Weaverham and Cuddington over the coming weeks. These sessions provide an opportunity for residents to raise concerns, ask questions, and discuss local policing matters.

Martins Law
As part of Weaverham Parish Council’s response to Martyn’s Law, the Parish Council has invested in three trauma kits to help improve public safety within our community.

The kits are located at the Community Centre and The Reef Café, with a third kit available for use at Parish Council events.

Our Chair, Gillian Edwards, recently presented the trauma kits to Iain Lasseter from The Reef Café and Stella Bailey from the Community Centre.

We hope these kits will never be needed, but recognise that in an emergency they could help save lives.

Please help us share awareness of the locations of these important community safety resources.
