Did you know that balance bikes are a great way to start your little one on their bike journey? Balance bikes are lightweight, pedal-free bikes that let children scoot along using their feet, and they come with some big developmental benefits:

✨ Build confidence & coordination
Children learn to balance naturally by keeping their feet on the ground, helping develop core strength and essential motor skills.

✨ Skip the stabilisers
By mastering balance first, many children transition to pedal bikes more quickly and confidently, often without ever needing training wheels.

✨ Safer, low-pressure learning
With feet always close to the ground, little riders can stop themselves easily, reducing fear and helping them feel in control.

✨ Encourages independence & active play
Balance bikes support outdoor exploration, boosting spatial awareness and giving toddlers a real sense of independence.

✨ Lightweight & easy to manage
Simple, lighter designs mean they’re easier for children to handle—and easier for grown-ups to carry when needed!

👉 Want to give it a try?
Join one of our buggy walks! During the session, your child can borrow a balance bike to have a go, build confidence, and start developing those key cycling skills in a safe, supportive environment

It is Infant Mental Health Awareness Week (8–14 June) — a special time to shine a light on the importance of our babies’ emotional wellbeing.

This year’s theme is Attunement: those little moments of tuning in, connecting, and truly understanding one another. It’s something we all need, but it’s especially vital for babies and the people who care for them.

Looking for ways to support your baby’s development? Come along to one of our welcoming Family Hub sessions! You and your little one can:
⭐ explore fun, engaging activities
⭐ meet other families
⭐ chat with our friendly team about your baby’s growth

You can find all our current sessions on Eventbrite.
We’d love to meet you and your baby soon
