New Pre-School coming to Moulton, September 2017

Welcome back to all of our Little Acorns and their families! We hope that you have all had a wonderful summer break. All of the children have settled back in beautifully and have been busy exploring preschool. Just a little reminder about lunches-could you please ensure that they are completely nut free. Also, if you are packing grapes, could they please be cut in to quarters, lengthways. Thank you!

Firstly, a huge well done to all of the Little Acorns for taking part in our sponsored bounce this week-especially in this heat! All of the children should be coming home with a certificate and a photo has been uploaded to tapestry. Secondly, a big thank you to all of our Little Acorns family and friends for sponsoring the children-you have all been extremely generous. We are having a count up and will let you know how much we have raised, thank you! Lastly, just a reminder that our last day of preschool for everyone is next Thursday 16th July. Our school leavers graduation is on Friday 17th July 9:30am-11:30am and all children must be accompanied an adult. Have a lovely weekend!

WOW! It's been a hot week! We are all so proud of how well the children have coped in the heat this week. We have spent some short periods of time in the garden but we have spent a lot of time playing inside with the air-conditioning on! We all enjoyed a delicious ice lolly as well to help us cool down-thank you to Rachael and one of our parents! Have a lovely weekend everyone.

We have butterflies-the children have been eagerly awaiting their arrival! The sun has also hade an appearance so it's been lovely to spend lots of time in our garden. On that note, it's looking to be super hot next week. Could you please ensure the children arrive at preschool with suncream applied, a sun hat and water bottle. Thank you! Have a lovely weekend.

The weather hasn't been kind to us this week so lots of inside play for the Little Acorns! We have been busy constructing with our magnetic tiles, looking after our animals on the farm and making some yummy food in the cafe! Let's hope for some sunshine next week! We hope you all have a fantastic weekend.

Welcome back! We hope that you all had a lovely half-term break. Can you believe that we are in our final term of the summer?! This term is going to be super busy and fun for our Little Acorns and preparations for our school leavers graduation ceremony are well under way. Please keep your eye on tapestry for any updates. Also, could we please ask that all of the funding forms that have gone home this week are returned as soon as possible. If you haven't already completed your form, could you please ensure that your funding code is included on the form-thank you! Have a lovely weekend.

What a lovely week at preschool we have had! The children have thoroughly enjoyed exploring the musical instruments and making music together. We have been practicing writing our names at the mark making table as well as our numbers. We hope that you all enjoy the beautiful weather over the half-term and we are back at preschool on Tuesday 2nd June.

Our Little Acorns have had another super busy week with lots of fun and learning! The children have really enjoyed working together to complete some giant floor puzzles. In our maths area we have been following and creating patterns using the multi link cubes-this activity helps the children develop both their fine motor and problem solving skills. Rain has stopped play outside this week a little but when we have been able to get outside the children loved exploring the hammer and ice activity. We hope you have a lovely weekend and we look forward to another busy week before our half-term break.

This week the Little Acorns have been chefs and made the most delicious pizzas for their snacks! We spoke about why hand hygiene is so important and healthy eating as well-fun and learning at the same time! We have spent lots of time in the garden practising our hula hoop and skipping skills, making the most of the nice weather. Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Ice-cream sundaes all round this week as the sun has been out and the children have been using the shaving foam and sprinkles to make their own ice-creams! Very messy but lots of fun! The Little Acorns have been getting very creative with our junk modelling activity and practising their scissor skills at the same time. We hope you all have a lovely, long weekend and we will be back to preschool on the Tuesday.
