It’s nearly 14 years running my little business, started off just working at weekends and days off from my full time job.
Always had a love of cemeteries and churchyards since I was young, worked as an undertaker when it was then I came up with the idea for a headstone cleaning and tending business after seeing so many seemingly forgotten headstones that looked unloved and uncared for.
Little by little I learnt all aspects of grave care and restoration, all self taught throughout the years.
I have had the privilege of helping several others with starting their own grave care businesses over the past 14 years and most are doing very well. Wasn’t much info out there then and very few companies would give any help or advice, but happy to tell you I shouldn’t be touching headstones, which made me strive to make sure my business was successful.
I now offer anything from a clean of a small plaque to a full restoration of headstones and memorials.
Repairing and replacing lead lettering, regilding with paint or gold leaf, inscription repainting across all types of headstones, metal plaques, cremation tablets and memorials.
So now I am running my business full time throughout Northamptonshire and surrounding counties, it’s a job I love and absolutely passionate about, every memorial I work on is with the upmost love, care and respect, just as I would for my own family.
The reactions from customers is incredible once they see the restored work, putting some joy into the hearts of people is priceless ❤️
