♻️ Electrical Recycling & Reuse – Great Results! 🔌

We’re pleased to share the fantastic results from our electrical recycling events this year!

🌱 April
♻️ 100kg of electrical items recycled
🔧 50kg PAT tested and passed on for reuse

🌱 August
♻️ 160kg of electrical items recycled
🔧 75kg PAT tested and given to residents
👋 25 residents engaged with the event

That’s a fantastic 260kg of electricals recycled, plus a further 125kg PAT tested and given a new lease of life! 🙌

Items successfully PAT tested at our latest event included iPhones, Kindles, a tablet, TV, printers, fans, children’s toys, a vacuum, dehumidifier, toaster, blender, lamp, leaf blower and more.

💚 A big thank you to everyone who brought items along, and a special thank you to Joshua Pearman from Veolia for running the events and helping make them such a success.

By recycling and reusing unwanted electricals, we’re helping to reduce waste, keep useful items in circulation and support our local community.

☀️ Summer Holiday Litter Picking 🗑️🌿

If you’re out and about during the summer holidays and fancy helping to keep our community tidy, why not take a litter picker along with you?

📍 One of our litter hot spots is Blacky More, where a little extra help picking up discarded rubbish can make a big difference.

Even just a few pieces collected while you’re out walking helps keep our green spaces cleaner and more enjoyable for everyone. 💚

🧤 Litter-picking equipment is available to borrow. Just drop us an email or call the office to arrange collection.

Please litter pick safely – wear gloves and leave any sharp or hazardous items alone.

The next Cuppa with a Copper drop-in is coming up at Hunsbury Library on 26th August.

Pop along for an informal chat with your local police team. It’s a chance to:

🏘️ Share information about what’s happening in your area
🛡️ Get advice on crime prevention and staying safe

📢 **HAVE YOUR SAY ON ADULT SOCIAL CARE**

West Northamptonshire Council wants to hear from people who **receive care and support from the council, or care for someone who does** – and they need more people to get involved and share their experiences.

This is your opportunity to tell WNC what’s working, what could be better and what matters most to people who rely on adult social care services.

🗣️ **Your experience matters – please take the opportunity to have your say.**

You can complete the **Big Conversation survey by 25th August**.

There are also face-to-face **Big Conversation events**, including one nearby at:
